Doba Tsipra Altstein and Jojchem Chaim Altstein are presumably cousins. His parents were Uanocha Altstein & Elka Michaelovitch
Alan Knecht's great-great grandmother was Sura Cypra Altstein (1837-1903). Her parents were David Altsztein and Elka Drozdowicz. She married David-Hersh Knecht. She may have been a sister to my great grandfather Efrem Altstein, making Alan a third cousin once removed to me. |

In the spring of 2013 my first cousin Richard Thorner and Paul's son Rick Thorner each took the Y-DNA test and learned that they had zero degrees of separation! This suggests that they have a common ancestor just beyond our information horizon. We are both related to Molly Thorner Russek. Paul inherited a document which lists, in Yissish, Gedalia and his kids. |
